Like it or not, at the left hand column, there is a section stating “Specify seller”, in it there will be the option of “eBay top sellers” which will filter the results showing the highest standard seller – Top rated seller. This is one of another way of leveraging trusted sellers on the marketplace and show it to customers who might view reliability higher than good value.

So just to summarize the advantage of being a top rated seller:

1. 1. 20% final value fees discount
2. 2. Being the only group of sellers having the privileged of buying Feature First (not even Powerseller can purchase this)
3. 3. Top rated Seller badge shown in the item detail page
4. 4. Top rated Seller badge shown in the *search result page* (this will affect your click-through and therefore your Best Match score on sales/impression) See previous post on eBay leveraging TRS in search result.
5. 5. Add points to your Best Match score. Therefore promoted your listing on Best Match search result

Hope this will provide the merchants or sellers on eBay the sense of urgency to be a top rated seller!
