How to avoid foreign exchange loss on eBay
One of my US merchant started with the local market or US eBay site and accept US currency. As he expand into UK market, the sales became much greater than the local US sales. At the same time, his bill is still in US$. The pounds he receive from UK market is being converted by PayPal at lower rate to pay bill. Such scenario can be avoided by changing the billing currency.
Make sure your invoice are billed in the same currency of the site you are listing. Example: When you list your items mainly on UK eBay site, make sure you are billed in pound.
If you are bill under a different currency, click here to change your eBay currency(Alternative as a good security practice, you can copy and paste the link: https://arribada.ebay.com/saw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?SBCSignup). Remember you are allow to change your currency once every year. Once change, you will stick with it for another 365 days.
