PayPal changes shipping and Student Account policies

The online payment services leader PayPal informed its users about the amendments being introduced to its policy.

The policy changes PayPal makes effective starting March 10, 2010 include those amendments related to recent regulations in India.

Section 8 (Fees) of the User Agreement is being amended to prohibit users from sending a Personal Payment to a recipient in India. Over the weekend, PayPal suspended personal payments to and from India as well as transfers to local banks there, and on Tuesday said it could be months before the suspension was lifted.
